Excessive intake of sodium- People who consume more sodium mainly through table salt and other oxalates rich foods have a high chance of developing a kidney stone.
Obesity- People who are obese and have type 2 diabetes are also prone to developing a kidney stone as obesity can change the composition of urine.
Calcium supplements- Calcium is good for joints and teeth. However, taking calcium as a supplement can lead to the formation of a kidney stone as the stone is formed with excess calcium and minerals.
Animal protein- Eating too much animal protein such as beef, red meat, poultry eggs, etc can lead to the formation of uric acid which further commences the formation of the kidney stone.
