How To Register Yourself For Co-WIN?

The covid vaccine is all set to vaccinate everyone against the deadly virus that emerged last year. Finally, after almost a year, India was able to make the vaccination for Covid-19 and now it is all set to give the vaccine shots to the citizens of the country. After giving the shot to health and frontline workers, the second phase of coronavirus vaccination started on Monday. People over the age of 60 and those over 45 with co-morbidities will be vaccinated against the deadly pathogen that has claimed the lives of over 1.56 lakh people in the country during this period.

 

For this second phase, the senior citizens and those above 45 years of age with co-morbidities will be vaccinated against this deadly pathogen through a registration process.

The registration can be made on the government portal, i.e Co-WIN.

 

What is Co-WIN?

Co-WIN is a digitized platform that is created for the real-time monitoring of COVID-19 vaccine delivery. Citizens can arrange vaccination sessions at centers of their choice using the Co-Win application. According to the government, the citizen self-registration module would ensure the full-proof identification of eligible candidates for vaccines.

Here’s how a person can register himself on Co-WIN 2.0:

Follow these simple steps to register yourself on the Co-WIN 2.0 online portal;

 

  1. Visit the official website of Co-WIN i.e cowin.gov.in.
  2. Enter your 10 digits mobile number or Aadhaar number and submit any of your personal identification documents.
  3. On completing step 2, you will get an “OTP” on your mobile number.
  4. Enter the OTP and complete your registration process.
  5. After you have completed the registration process, the system will view your “Account Information.”
  6. By clicking the “Add More” button, citizens can add three more people with them for the appointment of the covid-19 vaccination.
  7. Fill in all of the information about the person you want to include, then press the Add button.
  8. Visit the center on the specified date and time to complete your appointment.

 

You can also reschedule your appointment in case you won’t be able to make it on that particular day.
