INTAKE OF ALCOHOL CAN RAISE BLOOD PRESSURE AND DIABETES

“Alcoholism is the thief of health, mental sanity and human dignity”. It is probably an advisable and sensible idea to leap that second glass of wine if you suffering from diabetes, because updated survey depicts that drinking more than one glass of wine can raise risk of high blood pressure.

People with type 2 diabetes consuming eight glasses of drinks or more within a week, to whom we can refer as highly moderate drinkers, have more than 60% of chances of high blood pressure. Even this situation can become worst if intake of alcohol exceed this limit and can lead to severe high blood pressure.

“While earlier studies has illustrated that consumption of heavy alcohol is associated with high blood pressure, diabetes and heightened the risk of cardiovascular”   said the author, Dr. Matthew Singleton. He’s the chief electrophysiology fellow at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Singleton add more that the analysts suggests people with diabetes to discuss the pros and cons of alcohol intake with their doctors.

The research of recent times had a glance on previous study in relate with heavy consumption of alcohol is the cause of high blood pressure for more than 100 years. People suffering from diabetes type 2 had a higher risk of heart disease and stroke.

Many doctors don’t recommend you to change on the basis of one study. If you are a patient of type 2 diabetes, it is probably not that bad idea to remain light drinker, which means one drink a day rather than all seven drinks at Saturday night.
