Earlier this month, Vivo launched the Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone in China with the under-display fingerprint sensor. Now, the latest leaks from China reveal the Vivo Xplay7 to be company’s next smartphone to use the under-display fingerprint sensor. We have been hearing rumors about the Vivo XPlay7 smartphone for quite a few months. According to the latest leaks, the Xplay7 sports an edge-to-edge display on the front with 4K resolution and 92.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Just the X20 Plus UD, the Xplay7 will also feature the under-display fingerprint sensor from Synaptics. The Xplay7 will be the successor to Xplay6 launched in 2016. Talking about the internals, the device is mentioned to come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform. FYI, the Xplay6 powered by Snapdragon 820 was the last Vivo smartphone to use the flagship processor from Qualcomm.
Coming to the Xplay7, the Snapdragon 845 processor will come accompanied by a 10GB of RAM. While the 8GB RAM on a smartphone seems overrated, get prepared to soon see the first-ever smartphone with 10GB of RAM. It will be available in two variants with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage. Talking about the cameras, the Xplay7 is mentioned to sport dual camera setup that will offer 4X lossless zoom.
Apart from the under-display fingerprint sensor, the device also includes FaceUnlock 2.0 for enhancing the security. While we might see a smartphone with similar specifications in the coming future, take these details about the Xplay7 with a pinch of salt as there is no official confirmation.
