When Padmaavat’s first trailer released, it was still Padmavati and expected to be the biggest release of 2017. The year got over as the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film faced massive protests, its release was delayed and death threats issued against the director and film’s lead actor Deepika Padukone. Now, that Padmaavat is again inching towards its release, protests are raging in parts of the country despite a go-ahead by Supreme Court.
Caught in the middle of it all, Padmaavat’s team has been out of bounds with none of the promotional frenzy that comes with a typical film release. A trailer, which appears to be the introduction to Ranveer Singh’s Sultan Alauddin Khilji, has, however, leaked now which might not be the best in quality but will still illuminate the role we have all heard so much about.
And here is yet another latest classic promo of #Padmaavat. This features @RanveerOfficial aka Alauddin Khilji and gives us the glimpse of Ranveer's power-packed performance that we are going to experience in this magnum opus from 25th January onwards worldwide. pic.twitter.com/GjeCMhlUsD

In the middle of battle, we hear the sultan say, “Hum Khiljion ne saath milkar ek khwab dekha tha ki ek din hamara parcham saare jahaan pe lehraayega.” Menacing in word and gesture, he then goes on to puts his words into action. This is the first time that we have heard Ranveer say a dialogue in the film as the spotlight has been on Deepika Padukone’s Padmini and Shahid Kapoor who plays her husband, Maharawal Ratan Singh.
In the same promo, we also hear Shahid’s measured tones as he answers Khilji and says Rajputs have more iron in their chests than Khilji has in his armoury. Padmaavat is all set to release on January 25.
