Continuing crackdown on bars, nightclubs and eateries for violation of the orders of Police Commissioner Rakesh Agrawal, the Division 5 police conducted raids in the area last night and registered 11 cases. The raids were conducted by PS 5 SHO Richa along with his team.
During a raid at the Sherlock bar and restaurant, Malhar Road, the police found liquor was being served to customers even after 11.30 pm. Its owners were arrested under section 188 of the IPC.
At “Pandit De Paranthe” in Feroze Gandhi Market, the staff was caught serving food after putting up the main shutter. The police arrested its owners.
The owner of Tika Junction on Ferozepur Road, was arrested.
At The War Fire Bar and Restaurant situated on Malhar Road, the police arrested its managers. A raid was also conducted at the Penthouse bar and restaurant situated in front of Gate No 2 of PAU. Its manager and owner were booked.
A staffer of the Rutba bar and restaurant on Malhar Road was arrested.
The police also arrested a person of Brew State, Malhar Road; managers of Garden Café at Sarabha Nagar; Mr Kumar Chaurasia of “Chaurasian Pan” on Pakhowal Road; workers of Colonel Café at Hero Bakery Chowk; and one from Tea Hut, Kipps Market.
