Hitesha Chandranee, a model and influencer who had accused a Zomato delivery person of assaulting her, has been charged with assault by Bengaluru police.
Based on a complaint from a Zomato employee, Kamaraj, an FIR has been lodged against Hitesha Chandranee. She was accused of unlawful restraint, assault, intentional insult, and a crime under sections 355, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
The Zomato food delivery executive, who was accused of assaulting the female customer has dismissed the charges levied against him, saying, “Let the truth begin.”
Hitesha Chandranee, a Bengaluru local, recently accused a Zomato delivery executive of assaulting her, causing her nose to bleed. On March 9th, a video of Hitesha claiming that she was attacked by a Zomato employee over a delayed delivery went viral on social media.
The Bengaluru police arrested Kamaraj just hours after Chandranee posted the video. On Thursday, however, he was given conditional bail. Zomato quickly apologized for the incident on social media and announced that Kamaraj had been removed from the website.
Now when both parties have filed a case against each other, it would be worth seeing who is right and who is wrong!
