Sukhbir Singh Badal Shifted To Gurugram Hospital after getting Covid Positive

SAD President and Ferozepur MP Sukhbir Singh Badal was taken to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram yesterday, a day after he was tested positive for Covid-19. Sukhbir had isolated himself as his residence at Sector 4, Chandigarh yesterday. Many of the SAD’s protests planned for this month have already been cancelled.

 

Meanwhile, Sukhbir tweeted on Wednesday- “Thanks to the blessings of Guru Sahib and all your good wishes, I am doing well. However, I am going to Medanta Hospital Gurugram for further tests as a cautionary measure. Your messages of love & concern are much appreciated.”

 

Sukhbir, on the other hand, was said to be unwell and was taken to Gurugram, according to sources. On Tuesday, he was taken to the Fortis Hospital in Mohali for some tests. Meanwhile, three of his domestic workers in Badal village, where he lives, have tested positive for Covid.

 

Sending the severity of the situation, Parkash Singh Badal, the 93-year-old Chief Minister who is also present at his Badal village residence, underwent the Covid test yesterday and was found negative. “Three staff at the former CM’s residence have tested Covid positive,” said Dr. Manju Bansal, SMO, Civil Hospital, Badal. They’ve shut themselves up in their own homes. The former CM was found to be Covid-free.”

 

Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the Bathinda MP, is already in Delhi, and the family was reportedly preparing to quarantine the former CM there as a precaution. A large number of people, including security personnel, deployed at the Badals’ residence in August of last year tested positive for Covid.
