Caught in fraud case, Punjabi artist Mankirt Aulakh, his father Nishan Singh and 5 others have been yet again issued arrest warrats by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of the court, Vikas Gupta.
The court has ordered all the accused to appear before the court. This is the eighth arrest warrant for the accused.
According to information received, Model Town resident Om Prakash Gagneja had registered a case of cheating against Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh, his father Nishan Singh Aulakh, brother Ravi Aulakh, Hijrawanklan resident Gurvindra and his father Harjit Singh, on March 29, 2017.
In the complaint given to police, Om Prakash Gagneja said that Nishan Singh was eyeing his land since long. The abovementioned people initially lied to him that they wanted to work there and then forged him with fake documents in order to get the land signed in their own name.
During the hearing of this case on Tuesday, Chief Judicial Magistrate Vikas Gupta, once again issued fresh arrest warrants against the accused Mankirat Aulakh, his father Nishan Singh Aulakh, brother Ravi Aulakh, Hijrawanklan resident Gurvindra and his father Harjit Singh.
DSP Jagdish Kajla, who is investigating the matter, said that the arrest warrants were already issued but the validity had ended therefore, new warrants have been issued.
This is the 8th time that arrest warrants have been issued against the accused.
In another land scam, Mankirat’s father Nishan Singh has been fined for 2.6 Cr by the IT department. Nishan Singh has been alleged to have purchased a piece of land from Sirsa resident Naveen Arora in the year 2008-09. The buyer, however, did not make any mention about this deal in his IT returns. Neither has any information regarding this deal been disclosed to the income tax department, nor has Singh been able to justify the source of this amount.
Mankirat is a very popular Punjabi singer who has crooned some of the most heard hits of recent times but these litigations are running parallel to his singing career and ultimately could take a toll on his success journey. Though the matters are civil but if not handled timely, could ruin a lot, leaving no chance of a comeback. Let’s hope that Mankirat keeps entertaining the audiences with good songs.By the way, let us tell you that he did try his hand at acting with a movie named ‘Main Teri Tu Mera’ starring Roshan Prince and himself, but the film didn’t do much good for his acting career.
