In the last couple of years, Facebook introduced several new features for WhatsApp. Recently, the company also launched the WhatsApp Business app. Compared to other instant messaging apps, one feature that is missing on WhatsApp is the stickers support. There are even IM apps like Line selling premium stickers. With the latest 2.18.32 beta update for WhatsApp for Android, the company finally seems to introduce “WhatsApp Sticker Packs Store.”
The same beta update also brings the end-to-end encryption for enterprise chats. Talking about the stickers on WhatsApp, we have hearing rumors about the same from the last few weeks. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp Sticker Packs Store is currently connected to the Facebook server. We guess the company might just offer the stickers available on Messenger.
As seen on the Messenger app, the users also need to first download the sticker pack to use them on WhatsApp. There is also a dedicated button for WhatsApp Stickers Packs Store to download or delete the sticker packs. With the sticker packs store now shown in the beta update, we might soon see it in the public build. Earlier this week, Mark Zuckerberg announced that WhatsApp now has 1.5 billion monthly active users worldwide and 200 million monthly active users alone in India.
WhatsApp is said to be the second most popular story-sharing product next to Facebook-owned Instagram. The users on WhatsApp are said to be exchanging nearly 60 billion messages every single day. While the WhatsApp Business app is currently limited to India, the company is also rumored to bring the UPI-based payment service.
