Punjabi singer Karan Aujla who became an overnight star thanks to his controversy with Sidhu Moosewala, has recently tied the knot with his girlfriend Palak.
The couple’s engagement ceremony took place in Canada and the videos from their celebratory event show Karan wearing a blue colored suit and Palak in a traditional Indian Anarkali suit of light pink color teamed with a velvet dupatta with heavy embroidery. The couple looked pretty happy and the celebrations were on in full fervor.
Jaskaran Singh Aujla, better known as Karan Aujla, was a lyricist before becoming a singer. At the age of 9, Karan lost his parents and since then he has been looked after by his sisters and his paternal uncle. After the demise of his parents, Karan became an introvert which led him towards writing songs. Though he found support in his cousins and friends but no one really took his writing very seriously.
In 9th standard, he happened to be at a wedding which also had Jassie Gill as an invitee. Karan offered Jassie his lyrics and he agreed to do the song. The song which was titled ‘Range’ became quite a hit. After the song, Karan became a somewhat known name in his nearby villages but no one really knew the face behind that name.
He then gave a song to Gagan Kokri, which was also well appreciated by the listeners. During this phase, Karan got his Canadian PR and moved there, soon realizing that face value means a lot and he needs to build that for himself to come into the limelight.
His first song was titled ‘cellphone’, the video of which was made after he borrowed a sum from his friends. The song didn’t work that much and Karan was left demotivated. He then got a tremendous amount of motivation from the Punjabi music director Deep Jandu, whom Aujla also accredits for his achievements till date.
