Night Curfew Imposed In Ludhiana From Today

In view of the rising cases of Coronavirus in Ludhiana, a night curfew has been enforced in the Ludhiana district from March 12 as per the orders of the District Magistrate Varinder Kumar.

The curfew will take place from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., until further orders are given, according to the DM. It was put in place after the number of regular new Covid cases quadrupled in the previous week.

However, the police and Army personnel on duty, government employees on duty, vital facilities, and medical emergencies would be permitted during the night curfew. Furthermore, inter-district and inter-state movement on highways passing through the district will also be exempted from this order.

Meanwhile, two patients died in the district today, and 152 people tested positive for Covid.

Four teachers and four students from various institutes were among those who tested positive today. On Thursday, two more healthcare employees tested positive.

The number of cases in the district is increasing rapidly day by day. It would be keen to notice as night curfew will lead to any reduction in the Coronavirus cases or not!
