People Are Already Dropping Their iPhone X’s

We’ve all heard horror stories about the iPhone breaking. Whether it’s because it’s so bendy or scarily easy to shatter.

Surely, the new $1,000+ iPhone X would be a more stalwart handset that won’t shatter after slipping from your fingertips?

Well, actually, that’s not the case. There are some unfortunate souls who’ve purchased the phone, on launch day, and have been simultaneously let down by its break-tastic design and their own clumsiness.

And if you thought that fixing an iPhone’s screen was expensive before, just wait till you hear how much it costs to replace the X’s, Essential Phones-esque screen. $275, (or $25 less than price of a brand-new Moto G5 Plus) is what it costs to replace your iPhone X’s screen. Which makes watching these videos of people dropping them all the more painful to watch.

Iphone x has Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with 5.8 inches, 84.4 cm2 (~82.9% screen-to-body ratio), 1125 x 2436 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~458 ppi density) & Scratch-resistant glass. It is available now in India and people are making a bee line for this expensive high end phone which features a first time face unlock feature in Apple Iphone series.

Regardless of the phones’ well-documented fragility, people are still flocking to buy them. Will you save up to purchase an iPhone X? Or are you happy enough with your current phone?
