Punjab School Education Board’s Class XII board examination will start on March 1. The question papers will reach the respective districts on February 25 and till the commencement of exams, these will be kept in banks.
As per the instructions issued by the PSEB for the smooth conduct of board exams, the District Education Officer will be the overall in charge. The flying squad will be appointed at the tehsil and sub-tehsil level. The observers will be appointed on rotation. Two days prior the exams, all details will be provided at the DEO portal concerned.
One of the senior teachers at Government Senior Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar Camp, said the flying squad and observers would submit the entire report to the DEO who would send the details to the office the same day (of a particular examination). “The duties of the panels allotted by the DEO will neither be changed nor any name would be removed. These are mandatory for all,” said the teacher.
The board has also made it clear that if anyone wanted to be relieved of the duty on medical grounds, the certificate issued by the CMO office concerned will be considered. The staff on duty has strictly been told not to use mobile phones at examination centres. Further, the help of police and district administration would be taken to ensure that there were no law and order and traffic problems at examination centres. The board has also asked superintendents to check whether the employees on the gate are vigilant. Further, it is to be ensured that proper desks are there and no candidate would sit on floor to take exam, as per the board’s instruction.
